Latest Notice on Berlin Zoo & Tierpark Opening Hours!!
Due to FMD (Foot-and-Mouth Disease), which is a viral disease in animals, both Zoo and Tierpark Berlin have been closed to visitors from 10th January 2025. This is a temporary closure taken as a preventive measure. So, let’s wait and hope for the lifting of the closure soon.
Berlin Zoo Opening Hours
The Zoo in Berlin is open from 9 AM and closes at 4:30 PM from October to February, and 6 PM / 6:30 PM from March to October. However, the last admission or last entry will be one hour before the closing time.

Aquarium Opening Times in Berlin
Aquarium Berlin is open all days from 9 AM to 6 PM. However, on December 24th, it closes at 2 PM only. You can also arrange events at the Aquarium, such as Birthdays, Weddings, or any Party after 6 PM. Events can start at 7:30 PM and must end by 1 AM.

Tierpark is Europe’s largest animal park where you can encounter animals from all over the world. The opening times of Tierpark are the same as Zoo Berlin but for a period of 22nd November to 12th January, it closes by 4 PM only.

The opening and closing time above mentioned is of the Tierpark. However, the animal houses and restaurants within the park are closed 30 minutes before the Closing time of the Tierpark. Coming to holiday hours Tierpark closes by 2 PM on December 24, Christmas Eve.
Zoo Berlin Holiday Hours
Zoo, Aquarium, and Tierpark; all are open on public holidays as well. However, on Christmas Eve (December 24), all these three closes by 2 PM only.

What is the Best Time to Visit the Zoo?
The Zoo Berlin is open from 9 AM and closes by 4:30 PM during winter and 6 PM during summer. The last entry will be one hour before the closing time. Yet, I suggest you visit in the morning itself to explore the complete Zoo with peace and joy. So, plan a complete day to have fun at the zoo, instead of visiting late and covering the zoo in a rush – This I am saying from personal experience 😉
