Aldi (Albrecht-Diskont) is a German multinational family-owned retail chain founded in 1946 by two brothers Karl and Theo Albrecht. Going to their origin, in 1913, their mother started a small store in Essen. In 1945, they took over their mother’s business and started expanding the outlets in the nearby places.
